Terms and Conditions

This single document is both our Terms and Conditions and our Terms of Use. There is no separate Terms of Use page: the rules about what the service is, what you may and may not do with it, and what we owe each other are all here, which means there is only one document to read and no risk of two near-identical ones contradicting each other.

1. Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and Bailey Turan trading as KIARI, of 345 Shenley Road, WD6 1TN. You can contact us at baileyturan05@gmail.com or 07841612909.

By creating an account or using KIARI you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. You must be an adult to hold an account

KIARI accounts are for parents and guardians. You must be 18 or over to open an account, agree to these terms and make payments. You may set up the service for a child in your care, and you are responsible for their use of it.

3. What the service is

KIARI provides voice-led AI tutoring in GCSE Maths. Lessons are delivered by an automated system, not a human tutor. The tutor speaks, listens, works through questions step by step, and tracks progress.

KIARI is a study aid. It is not a school, an examination board, or a guarantee of any grade or outcome. We do not promise that using it will produce any particular result in an examination.

4. AI-generated content

Explanations, worked answers and feedback are generated automatically. Automated systems can be wrong. We work hard to keep the maths correct, but we do not warrant that every explanation or answer is accurate, and you should not rely on KIARI as the only source of teaching.

Please tell us if you find an error, using the help option in the app.

5. Lessons, recordings and safety

• Lessons are time-limited. The length of a lesson is shown in the app.
• Lessons are recorded, including your child's voice, so that you and your child can play them back. How we handle those recordings is set out in the Privacy Notice.
• Lessons are automatically monitored for a small number of serious safety signals. If one is detected, the tutor responds to it in the moment and the lesson continues; it is not stopped. You are told in the summary emailed to you at the end of that lesson.
• After each lesson we email you a summary of it: the topics and questions covered, how your child did, and any safety flags raised.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to produce content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful or harmful.
• Deliberately attempt to make the AI tutor behave outside its purpose, bypass its safety behaviour, or extract its underlying instructions.
• Share your account with people outside your household, resell access, or use automated means to access the service.
• Copy, scrape or redistribute our question banks, explanations or other content, other than for your own household's personal study.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious we will normally warn you first.

7. Price and payment

The first lesson is free. After that, lessons are charged at the price shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase, currently £9.99 per lesson, and that price is VAT-inclusive: nothing is added at checkout.Bailey Turan trading as KIARI is not currently VAT-registered, as turnover is below the UK VAT registration threshold, so no VAT is in fact charged or reclaimed on this price at present. If that changes we will update this page.

Payment is taken through Stripe. See the Payments, Refunds and Cancellation page for how this works and for your cancellation rights.

We may change our prices. A change never affects a lesson you have already paid for.

8. Availability

We aim to keep KIARI available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. It depends on third-party providers, and we may need to suspend it for maintenance. If a lesson you have paid for is lost to a fault on our side, we will restore the credit or refund it.

9. Your content and ours

We own the service, its question banks, its teaching content and its branding. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it for study within your household.

You keep any rights in what your child says or writes during a lesson. You give us permission to process it so we can run the lesson, save progress and produce recordings, as described in the Privacy Notice.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to that, we are not liable for examination results, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time by emailing baileyturan05@gmail.com. Closing your account does not automatically refund unused lesson credits; see the Refunds page.

We may end the agreement if you seriously breach these terms, or if we stop offering the service. If we stop offering the service we will refund any unused lesson credits.

12. Complaints and law

If something goes wrong, contact baileyturan05@gmail.com and we will try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
